  • Student Service Representatives

    Farmingdale and Westchester locations.

    Immediate openings for Student Service Representatives for high tempo flight school. Under the Campus General Manager's direction, provide support to our students through scheduling, coordination, and curriculum management including, but not limited to application and explanation of school policies and procedures. Responsible for maintaining an effective and efficient flow of flight information with a premium placed on safety. On a daily basis, becoming familiar with all flights scheduled and the interactions thereof and coordinating all resources to support the flight and training operations.

    Minimum Requirements:
    • 2 years of customer service, hospitality, or relevant experience
    • Aviation Experience a plus
    • Computer Literate
    • Ability to multi-task

    Working Conditions:
    Office environment with “front desk/receptionist” style desk arrangement. Moderate traffic flow and call volume. Detail-oriented tasks interspersed with near-continual distractions and interruptions. Presentable business attire is required. Limited strenuous activities. Infrequent walking or driving to ramp area, student housing locations, or temporary locations on or off campus.

  • Flight Instructors Needed Now

    Get in touch and talk to us. CFI/CFII/MEI - 150+hrs/month.

    We are aggressively looking for flight instructors for all AOA locations.

    Perform those flight instructor duties authorized by the Federal Aviation Regulations in accordance with our approved Training Courses. Ensure your students understand and practice all aspects of Training Procedures and Policies including Safety Standards. Regularly schedule each assigned student to ensure on time progress through the respective course and immediately inform supervisor of any delays in training or unsatisfactory progress. Maintain all appropriate records to include student training records and student logbooks, and ensure that the course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by all assigned students.

    Job Requirements: HS diploma or equivalent.; FAA Certificate(s) for CFI/CFII/MEI ; FAA Class 2 Medical Certificate; Aircraft piloting skills including familiarity with and ability to perform required flight maneuvers and procedures. Knowledge and ability to apply effective instructional techniques. Knowledge and adherence to appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations and Company Policies and Procedures.

  • Ground School Teachers Needed Now

    All AOA Locations

    We are aggressively looking for educators for all of our school locations.

    The Academy of Aviation is looking for teachers. If you are an educator that wants a direct impact on student success and the freedom to teach, we have the job for you. Academy of Aviation is hiring Educators at all of our campuses. Aviation experience is preferable, but not required. The Academy will train and certificate the right candidates to satisfy FAA requirements. These positions are for "ground school" classes, and do not require you to fly.

    Your responsibilities include developing lesson plans that support the required curriculum. You will formulate student assessments and record student attendance. The cool thing here is that there is no bureaucracy to deal with like a regular school system. You will teach a very interesting topic to students that have jumped through hoops to get into the program. You will have a direct and immediate impact on student success and see your students progress quickly.

    Existing CFI's that have flight limitations but still want to be involved in aviation, this could be perfect for you.
