Academy of Aviation is an FAA 141 Approved School


Academy of Aviation is an FAA 141 Approved School that offers Private Pilot, Instrument Rating and Commercial Pilot 141 Courses. The 141 courses will benefit VA Benefit / GI Bill, Foreign Student Pilots and Career Student Pilots as well as private pilots that want an instrument rating without the 50 hours of PIC Cross Country time required by FAR 61. INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

International Student PilotsAcademy of Aviation is approved to issue Student Visa's to International Students worldwide.  We currently teach students from every corner of the earth and this includes Middle Eastern, European, Asian, African, South American, Australian students and more. Our location just outside of New York City makes it very convenient for International students to learn to fly and have leisure time as well within such a diverse ethnic community. Chances are you will know someone who has moved from your country to New York. We have successfully trained pilots flying for many International Airlines Worldwide. Our expert staff including our flight instructors, office personnel and mechanics will ensure that you are successful in attaining all that you wish in aviation. Academy of Aviation is a Federal Aviation Administration Approved School offer training in accordance with FAA Part 141 and Part 61 Regulations. 

TSAAcademy of Aviation observes the regulations mandated by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), a Division of Homeland Security which governs aviation training of foreign nationals. In order to begin flight training at Academy of Aviation, you will  register with TSA and be entered into the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). Once the application and registration process is complete, you will receive paperwork to apply for a visa.


INTERNATIONAL STUDENT REQUIRMENTS:

Permanent Resident Alien Card holders must apply to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), www.flightschoolcandidates.gov.

International students must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Complete  and remit Academy of Aviation School Application.
  • $2,500.00 Tuition Deposit/Application Fee
  • Proof of Financial Ability (A certified bank letter which states the equivalent U.S. dollar funds that are available for training and living expenses)
  • Copy of Passport

All documents not written in English must be accompanied by a legal English translation.
