Private Pilot, Career Pilot. These are all great website section titles (and h1's
and h2's for the tech-savvy) on a home page, but when you think about it, there have to be happy
faces and
successful students to go with these titles or else it won't mean very much. When we set out to
expand
from our modest New York home base, we chose this faraway land called North Carolina as our next
community
to open a flight school and set up roots.
But we don't like to just "move in." Academy of Aviation is, at heart, a small company that
thrives with
personal interaction. As aviators, we like the interaction to be exciting. From becoming
the
FBO of Gastonia Municipal Airport to hosting some amazing and successful events like the
First Responders Appreciation Day (see more awesome photos here) and the way cool Fly, Drive, Ride In, we wanted to let North Carolina know that we are
here to do
more than just teach you to fly. We want to make your education a lifestyle, and that lifestyle
to grow
into a styled life. If you want to learn to fly for fun, we're fun. If you want to learn to fly
for your
career, we're seriously career-minded, just like you are.
We also want to show you "Why North Carolina?" -- so scroll down to see the happy faces and real
pilots
that are walking through our doors and flying through our skies. And please head on over to our
KAKH North Carolina page for admissions, housing,
financing
info and
more cool pix!
