I am Rakesh, a commercial pilot and an aspiring CFI at Academy of Aviation.

Sustaining and maintaining calm with the situations and people.
Who inspires you? Who do you aspire to be like?
My parents. Their struggle, hard work and selflessnes has always inspired me and made me fierce and determined.
Which of your accomplishments are you most proud of?
Each and every license I have worked for and seeing my parents proud of my achievements has been a great accomplishment.
What's the single best piece of advice you ever received?
“Stop running behind people, run behind your Goals.”
What do you like about flying with Academy of Aviation?
Academy of Aviation has been a home to me, fulfilling my dreams. Their Professionalism, training and the friendly instructors has been a great support.
What clothing fads did you love as a kid?
My obsession with black shirts has been everlasting.
Were your parents strict or lenient, and did that have any effect on your decision to become a pilot?
My parents were very lenient and supportive all my life, but deciding to be a pilot and convincing them took time. But its never too late as long as they stand by me.
Name a good friend you've known the longest. How many years have you been friends? Are they in the aviation field as well?
Hemanth and Suraj are my best friends and I’ve known them for 10 years. Apparently they are not in aviation; Hemanth is an architect and Suraj is a businessman.
Who was your most influential schoolteacher and why?
My 9th grade Math teacher obliged me to study the subject and taught me how beneficial it’s going to be in my future.
If you could go back to one historical event to witness it, what would it be and why?
Everybody has their good days and bad days, but for me it has been a real struggle and I would wish to start my career a little earlier.
